Most overheard on tours with our clients: “I didn’t know what to expect, but this blew my expectations away!”
- “I’ve never had such a pleasant, enjoyable urban cycling experience!”
- “Our tour guide is the MVP of the day!”
- “I can’t wait to bring my family back and do another tour!”
- “Your chocolate walking tour was out of this world!”
- “Your bikes are so easy to ride, and beautiful!”
- “It is so great to just let someone else drive us safely!”
But from our clients, the most important feedback we have had is that working with us was a pleasure, from the first contact, to last-minute changes inevitable to events of any size, and the day-of-event coordination and execution. Our company is run by tour guides who chose this career path after corporate careers of many kinds; we are here because we love what we do, and it shows in every way.
- “You have been a rock star!”
- “Your flexibility is amazing!”
- “I was beyond impressed with your organization!”
The team at Around Portland Tours has more than a decade of experience planning events for clients including coffee roasters, major footwear manufacturers, urban planning and design companies, entrepreneurial groups, Girl Scouts, middle schoolers, family reunions, and the leadership teams for international conferences. We love friends and family tours, too; two recent events included a 40th birthday hiking tour for 11, and a hiking tour for five couples visiting their farm share. From a handful to more than 225, we’ve coordinated groups of just about any size.

One very memorable group tour included 10 different kinds of tours, including five different walking tours, a few bus tours and one giant bike tour. Our client called us “professional, knowledgable and welcoming.” Another memorable group was a 40-person offsite day bike tour on a very hot afternoon — we visited ice cream shops, the river front, and water features to keep cool. Another client, a neighbor, brought a number of conference participants for a super early coffee and street art bike tour before the day’s session. The next week they brought a family group on our afternoon tour to repeat the fun. We love challenges and unusual ideas!
