As spring begins, everything comes out to celebrate, from the birds to the blossoms to the cyclists! During this time of year our most popular option is a tour to Multnomah Falls and the Columbia Gorge but this is also one of the best times of year to visit Silver Falls with our half-day hiking tour. We’re starting to see more people join us for the easiest ways to get introduced to the city with our walk around or bike around Portland if the weather works for you.
March will be rainy and this March is no exception. We usually see 3-4 inches of rain over the course of the month, and more days are rainy than not. Those boost our waterfalls to roaring; they truly have a life of their own! And our mosses are absolutely vibrant and glowing. For the week of March 24 – 31 things are looking moderate, with no temperatures below 40F/4C forecast and some lovely periods of dry weather between the rainy — rainbow weather! Blossoms are out everywhere and we saw the gorgeous cherry blossoms on the waterfront start to burst. All of our tours should be operating without any major weather-related obstacles, but we will reach out to you if you have booked and weather conditions change. We never cancel for rain.

We will contact you to chat about the conditions prior to your experience if this is likely. We recommend good boots or shoes with traction and plenty of warm layers, but it is not winter style cold even when we get a bit of high elevation snow. More about what to wear here!
